I’m a freelance copywriter based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, which is close enough to London for convenient travel but far enough away to have a bit of greenery.
I began my career as a copywriter for DSG International. Stints in marketing and online communications followed, but I enjoyed copywriting so much that I couldn’t stay away for long. Over the past decade, I’ve written for brands that include Saga, Epson, Lloyds TSB and easyJet, which has made me adept at switching between different industries and tones of voice.
Going freelance has always been my dream (I like to work in my slippers and have karaoke tea breaks, which isn’t compatible with an office environment), and I finally made the leap this year.
Away from writing, music is my passion. I play bass guitar in an originals band and keyboard in a covers band, along with several other instruments which I’m not really good enough at to inflict on the general public. I also enjoy cooking, reading, sci-fi and drinking real ale.
